    Xbox screen only goes right


    I have gone through the previous thread and none of the fixes have changed anything. I have two different controllers and they just go directly to the right. I have cycled power, tried to clear cache, reset MAC address, changed battiers, controllets, wireless
    and wired. Only thing I haven't done is open it up.

    Black screen on Power Up

    When I turn on my Xbox, instead of going to the home screen it just goes to a black screen with the Xbox logo in the upper right hand corner. I can power off with the controller and hard reset but it only goes to the black screen. Any suggestions?

    Black Screen

    I was playing my Xbox and it froze and since then my Xbox hasn't been starting up right. i'll unplug it and restart it goes to the green xbox screen then black. sometimes it goes to the home screen by it freezes. Advice anyone?

    Xbox screen only goes right

    Power on your Xbox using the button and not the controllers, make sure they are not connected.

    It sounds like either one or both of your controllers have something called stick drift, could be caused by dust build up on the sensor.

    Find out which controller is causing the issue if it is just one, and see if you can blow the dust away, if this doesnt work, a warranty repair may be needed as this would be a hardware fault that cannot be fixed by software.

    As the previous post stated it may be controller drifting so it would be best to determine if it is just the two affected controllers or all controllers synced to your console. If it is just those two controllers check out the steps here

    That really long menu on the left should have a section to the right of it (sort of middle top of the screen)/

    Just hit the Xbox button twice only and you should see those two buttons. Unless of course it goes off the top of the screen.

    In my case, when I launch Xbox fitness it just goes to the green screen with "Xbox fitness" on it and the little green loading dots then it goes right back to the home screen without loading fully. It's been a while now and no solution yet from MS???

    Thanks for the response.

    I never even played the game that it was updating off of, and I can't even get to the dashboard screen to delete anything.

    As soon I turn it on and it goes past the xbox 360 screen it goes right to the Update stopped screen and shows the status code and it does nothing.
