Xbox Screen Freezes When Signing Into Xbox Live.

My account was renewed a month of GOLD Membership just 2 days ago and problems come. Today , at 5pm , I launched my xbox . My xbox screen just hanged RIGHT AFTER the sign in, When i try to launch offline , it was perfectly fine. When i try another time
with an ethernet cable connecting to my xbox , It started hanging again after it signs into Xbox LIVE. Can anyone in the microsoft help me with this problem? Or any help? i tried many possible ways regarding the problem but i still get the same results.

Fifa 13 wont work on my gamertag.

When I start the game on my account, the game freezes at the title screen. Signed into my brothers account the game runs fine. I tried starting it from his account then signing into mine, but then the game just freezes. The Xbox doesn't freeze and I can
still go to Xbox Home, just the game freezes. Help!!

 

Can't Connect to Live

I have been unable to sign into any profiles on my Xbox 360 that are set to sign into Xbox Live. I have tested the connection and the network connects to Live fine but when I try to sign into a profile it just gets stuck on the Signing in, no error messages
appear it simply sticks on the signing in screen. I have cleared cache files and even tried to delete then download my profiles to different storage devices only for the profile file download to also get stuck. Any time I try to cancel the download/sign in
the Xbox freezes completely. Anyone got any other suggestions? this is getting really frustrating

 

Hey, me and my sis are having the same problem. Just had an update on our Xboxes recently. Now, whenever I sign-in, the screen freezes. I can only go to the dashboard screen if I'm in off-line mode. Pressing the home button on the controller doesn't
do anything. I've unplugged the xbox, turned off and on the modem and router, but no dice. Problem's still there. Is this something to do with the latest update?

 

I suppose yes. I am having the problem after the UPDATE.

Have the same problem too, could remain connected to Live and was playing up till about 24hrs ago. Came home today and saw the spinning circle freeze for the first time. Cleared system cache, didn't help so deleted profile on the chance it was corrupted.

When I tried to re-download the profile, the download hung as well, just as the onscreen msg changed to "Downloading your game info". Progress bar was at about 20-25%.

Just got off with Xbox support and they said they are aware of the issue and are looking into it, told me to try again in an hour or so. My browser chat screen crashed too at this point so I think someone is trying to tell me something so I am off to do
something else and maybe try in a day or so.

 

Having the exact same problem ... system freezes while signing on to Live! It's show a notification of how many friend I have online and freezes! Please help!

Hi all,

So recently today I turned on my Xbox 360, to my dismay, I kept hanging upon startup. If this problem has been happening to you as well, then just follow these steps.

1) Turn off your Xbox.

2) Plug out your ethernet cable ( for those using wireless I'm not sure about you guys, sorry :/ )

3) Turn on your Xbox, after the Xbox 360 logo appears and the gray screen appears, click your Home Button and launch the disc inside immediately. ( Do not wait for the Xbox to sign into your profile )

4) Once the game has launched or to be safe, goes to the start screen, plug in your ethernet cable and connect to Xbox live.

5) Kick ***!

If these steps do not work, I am sorry, this method has been working for me and my friends.

I've tried to clear cache, unplugged/plugged ethernet cable, and download profile again..but, neither is work. I think it caused by latest UPDATE? :-/

same here. using my main profile that have xbox live to log in but the screen hang on while trying go get into the dashboard.

but i can log into my live account from the game i am playing..

what is the issue on loading into the dash board?

 

Just gave my Xbox a go and it still hung during the download of my profile. So the issue of hanging when trying to sign in or download profile over the dashboard is still there.

BUT, the workaround mentioned above appear to work for me (thx SuprebFret!). I could re-download my profile and signing in appears to work fine... up till I quit out of the game back to the dashboard then it hangs again.

This appears related somehow to the dashboard which is in turn probably related to the recent update we had. But seriously, I don't care cos I am only interested in playing, which I can do now

 

I think this issue has resolved. Tested late last nite, able to login xbox live and access dashboard as usual. Can anyone else confirm. I think it has been resolve at server side.

Or u could try fix it by using below method, it work with my freezing in logging to dashboard with my account. (Suggested by Phixb360)

1) Power on xbox 360 and skip login to go offline mode. While in offline mode, place in game disc and startup your game. When in game , press the silver button to bring up the guide menu. It will have no problem login your account to xbox live.

2) While your account is connected to xbox live successfuly and xbox guide menu is still open, hold the right trigger (RT) and press Y button to refresh the xbox home dashboard menu.

3) Shut down and reboot

4) Try login to xbox live again but this time in the main menu and see whether it work.

 

Nope , it simply did not work for me. And i am waiting how microsoft is going to solve this problem.
