My question is will games like Rise Of Tomb Raider And Quantum Break Get 4k support and enhancements down the road for Scorpio?

Second, In the latest article From TICGN, interview With Albert Penello (Xbox Product Planning Director) it says quote -

"Does this mean every Scorpio game will run in Ultra HD resolution?

So since we know 4k gaming isn't easy to guarantee in all games, why don't they just support options instead For Scorpio? If gamers want 4k gaming they could just select it in the options menu, and those that want things like 60 fps and additional effects
they could select this option as well in the menu. a 4k mode and a hyper 1080p mode, simple as that everyone is happy.

4K 30bits and 36 bits combined with full-rgb output broken.

Can you change settings on your tv? Sometimes if the contrast is up too high it can make things look washed out. Maybe you had them set perfectly before, but now they need to be adjusted because of the new console?

My TV is properly calibrated,
I've got a LG OLED 55EG920V.

Every video output settings displays as you'd expect it to. Only the ones I listed in the OP (4K+30/36bits + pc-RGB) output incorrectly. 1080p for example with 30 or 36 bits and pc-RGB output as you'd expect and the exact same as the original Xbox One model.

Okay follow up question then. When compared to the Xbox One (original), how does it look?

Not that it really matters, I don't plan on buying an Xbox One S and I'll just wait for the Scorpio.

What exactly do you mean? The original XB1 doesn't support 4K and the XB1 S only outputs incorrectly at specific 4K setting.

Xbox Project Scorpio and 21:9 Ultrawide Support

No game supports 21:9. That is a movie aspect ratio.

The Scorpio is a game console and will support 4K gaming as advertised.

I guess you've never played Overwatch in 21:9 (or any other game). 21:9 is the best aspect ratio for games... I can't wait for the rest of the world to catch up.

Honestly i'm all for a 4k Gaming mode and a Hyper 1080p/1440p 60 fps mode.

Once your Xbox is in 4K mode (Settings, under Video; you may need to go into Advanced Settings), when you launch a game, assuming you have internet connected, you will get a prompt that the game needs an update.

I had to launch each game individually for each game to update for some reason. Not sure why it didn't try to update them knowing it's a Scorpio. If it launches with no prompt, you have any possible 4k update.

I'm having the same issue with multiple games. Battlefield 1 is showing false and also Prey. Halo is showing true and Scorpio update but it is only partial showing the full Scorpio update ready but not downloaded. Everything else is showing true but no Scorpio

My thoughts would be that unless you are absolutely desperate for 4k media now, then the Xbox One S is a waste of money.

If you want a console go for the original Xbox One, which will be cheaper, and put the savings into a Scorpio fund. The Scorpio will after all give 4k media and 4k gaming.

Kind of an odd blanket statement. Are you saying that's all it is or in addition to this?

Either way, I disagree with the statement. Scorpio is not an "Xbox One". Xbox One is the 8th Generation of Video Game Consoles. Scorpio will be in the 9th Generation of Video Game Consoles. MS can PR speak all they want saying it's not a different Generation.
Truth is when they make that claim, they are pandering to a demographic that will scream "you abandoned us!".

Scorpio will more then likely begin with simple Ports from Xbox One and Xbox One S to the Scorpio Platform due to the claimed nature of Universal Windows Platform. However I'm going to call bs on MS claim and I believe from evidence of past Generations of Video
Game Consoles that they have Ports and then exclusives to that Generation that were not possible on prior Generations.

To say Scorpio is a Xbox "optimised" for 4k Display is a simplified blanket term, that in reality is what the Xbox One S already does. The Xbox One S is a 4k Upscale Display version of the Xbox One and very little else (sans some additional Features, HDR, IR
Blaster and such). Scorpio on the other hand while will have both Upscale and maybe even Native 4k Games and will also have much better performance for exclusives for that Generation.

If you already have an Xbox One you should question if it might be better to save your money and invest it in an Xbox Scorpio as that will support VR & 4K.
