Xbox Scorpio needs killer apps.

When I look at an "iteration of a console", I expect something new. I don't want more options on framerates and resolutions for old games. I want new games with good framerates. I hope Scorpio is released with new AAA games to showcase it's power. We have
already experienced iterative generations with the launch of Xbox One. We saw many developers treat the 360 and XB1 as a single platform (ie Destiny and Titanfall). That's not the spirit of console gaming. Also, adding framerate/resolution/hdr options will
only distract people from enjoying the game. I've played PC games, and I'm never happy with the settings. A console game should be polished and have fixed video settings. If Scorpio does not have killer apps, like a traditional console generation, people won't migrate
toward it, and developers won't support it.

Xbox One X 4K updates

HI,

I have an Xbox One and have the Scorpio pre-ordered for next month.

I have set the console to auto-update, will 4K updates be Pushed to my console; or will I need to explicity request each update for the Scorpio? Also is there any estimated timeline for when 4K updates will become available?

Also, the Xbox Enhanced selection in Games and Apps lists only two games - Gears Of War 4 and L.A. Noire. I have 20 or so games on the Xbox One X enhanced list, yet only two appear as Xbox Enhanced titles. How do I fix this?

I agree killer apps are required, but they dont need to be new games or apps, how about running BF1 at native 1080 at 120 fps, now that would be cool. I agree the potential for the Scorpio is massive. Lets see what MS do

Who needs a killer app, auburn? The killer app you're looking for IS the Xbox One itself! With all of the things that the Kinect allows me to do quickly and easily, it was more than worth it IMO. I'm sorry you don't feel the same way...

You can always end an app by hitting the menu button to the right next to the guide button and then selecting quit.

A task/app manager sounds like a really interesting idea. If you wanted to, you could submit that idea to feedback.xbox.com and if it garners enough attention, it might be added in as a feature.
