xbox scorpio cheap?

I have wanted an One X. I will buy one if I can find a cheap Project Scorpio to add to my collection. But I will be waiting for the Scarlett.

I think this is a huge thing right now. My oldest son was talking about this. He wondered why MS (and Sony) would launch more powerful units so soon. Neo should hit well before Scorpio and puts that at well less than 4 years for the original PS4. And
Scorpio is at the 4 year mark for the One basically. I had to give him a little lesson about the history or gaming. But not just that but technology in general. 4 years on any device is a while.

The Scorpio will hit and the One will be 4. It will last, at least, 1 more year for support. That puts it at 5. No way these current consoles where going past that. Now, if MS (and third parties) keep games coming for the Xbox One and Scorpio (very possible)
they might put 6 years on the One but that might be a stretch.

Is the Scorpio "next gen" I would say no. And not because it is not in the mold of what that means or has meant historically in gaming. It is just that MS is going for a "gen-less" approach. They will try, if they can, to keep the Xbox One (basically
through the S model) as the cheap entry point. Keep all games compatible with that. The Scorpio will be the top line unit. If they can get that to work for an extended period of time then it would be very hard to say that the Scorpio is a traditionally
next gen piece of hardware.

The next Xbox, after Scorpio, will probably be the same. It will be an improved Scorpio. It will play the same games, just with some improvements that hardware will allow. And it will relegate the Scorpio to either the middle tier model or the lower model
while that model, Scorpio 2 or whatever they call it, will then be top tier. I just do not feel the console cycle will be the same moving forward. At least not for Sony or MS. Nintendo is a maybe but I would not be shocked, if they succeed with NX, if they
did not go this route as well. Building all new every 5 or so years is not as viable anymore.

I believe it was "Xbox" or whatever the deafault was for the Xbox One X Scorpio Edition, but then I changed it to Project Scorpio.

xbox scorpio will have HDR. It will also have something ps4 pro doesnt have, 4k bluray disc player. However xbox scorpio's main forcus will be gaming. that is why scorpio will have GDDR5 memory not DDR3 memory, something which a lot of people criticized
on with xbox 1.

It's actually not all that surprising. There were only four years between the original Xbox and the Xbox 360. The Scorpio will be arriving four years after the release of the Xbox One. I actually really hope they change the name...Scorpio sounds awful. I
am eager to see what they price the "Scorpio" at.
