Xbox says wifi password incorrect but is. Connects fine with wired connection.

Same problem here.

Always while playing destiny and always while dying and waiting to respawn in the Crucible.

It seems we all the problem after playing Destiny so looks like there is a bug in Destiny that breaks xbox ones wifi adaptor until console has been shut down.

 

I am having the exact same problem after playing destiny... why this game? Clearing the mac address doesn't work for me. Also restarting the modem/router and xbone don't either. Come on support team please help.

 

I tried clearing my MAC address as well. Worked for two days, now I'm back to square one with the same issue. Please help.

 

This is a pretty weird problem to have, surprised that Microsoft hasn't fixed it.

I had the same issue start at the same time frame (mid February) and it happened again today.

 

Same problem. Clearing my MAC address did NOT work. Xbox one is still in alpha stage. Maybe beta. You'd almost think the person in charge of Microsoft was from India or something.

Thank God I won this console. God help those who paid for it.

Please fix. On going problem that xbox seems to not care about.

 

Here are the steps I took to get my xbox one to accept my wifi router password. Go to: Settings; Disc & Blu-ray; Persistent storage; Clear persistent storage. Do this three times. This will clear any persistent storage that may be on your xbox one from
blue-ray discs download, thus clearing up space.

Next, go to: Settings; Network; Advanced settings; Alternate MAC address; Clear; Restart. This will clear your MAC address and restart it.

Once it has restarted, go to: Settings; Network; Set up wireless network. From here you will do what you did in the past, namely select your wifi router and enter your password. This should clear up the problem. If you are still having issues, it may
be your router. I would suggest chatting on-line with Microsoft/XBox One tech support to find out (support.xbox.com/.../contact-us).

 

This is an old thread, but I've seen this problem a lot while playing Iron Banner/Trials of Osiris/Crucible in Destiny on my Xbox One. This guy found and caught some cheaters that seem to cause these symptoms here:

As some other members mention above, clearing your MAC Address may be a resolution to getting back online, but it's always worked for me to just hard restart my Xbox One by holding the power button until it restarts
