Xbox Says SYSTEM UPDATE AVAILABLE When There Is None (1/2)

I scanned the web and read most of the threads that you probably did. One thing you did not mention was update compatibility. Different update level are known to cause problems. To remedy this:

1. Locate and delete the updates for GoW3 on all involved systems.

2. That leaves all the systems at equal update levels. Now:

a. Try the system link with none of the Xboxes connected to XBox Live

b. or log each system into Xbox Live and start the game and thus download the same update.

Could you try a console update first, please? Most people can update Skyrim successfully after installing the available Xbox One system upgrade:

1. 1. Scroll left from Home to open the guide.
2. 2. Select Settings.
3. 3. Select All Settings.
4. 4. Under System, select Console info & updates.
5. 5. Available updates will show in the second button down in the first column. If an update is available, the button will read
   Update Available. If your console is already on the current release build, the button will be grayed out and will read
   No update available.

This link: https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/settings-updates/update-xbox-one-console has some
info on how to update your xbox. But all you really have to do is:

1. Make sure you are connected to the Internet.

2. Go to setting - system - updates/ downloads

3. It will say whether or not there is an update available

Tuesday 5 August 11:24 pm for me on my Xbox 1 right now. No Update available yet according to my Dashboard.

OS version 6.2.11274.0 (xb_rel_1407.140703-1704) fre. I even went into Settings, System (no update available), and Console info. I'll check again before going to bed tomorrow night.

What I've heard is that the Dashboard (when updated) will tell you WHEN offline friends were last online (eg 2 hours ago, 3 days ago) instead of just saying, you know..."offline". I posted feedback on this on the official site and its got 90 votes which
was more than I was expecting. This is an Xbox 1 discussion area.

on my system, it says it requires a system update. it also says no update is availiable right now lol. no xbox live available.
