Xbox says I have "Live Free" even though I bought gold.

pretty much what the title says. I bought 12 months XBox Live Gold membership 4 days ago, using the xbox website, but the console shows I still have Live Free.

I figured waiting a few days will do the trick, but it's been 4 days now and it's getting annoying.

I've tried downloading the profile option on console, and i've tried testing xbox live connection. nothing seems to work.

Please help.

ive just bought xbox live gold membership online yet when i go to play online it wont let me and just says "xbox live free" even though ive just bought gold!! what is happening??

Sorry to hear it. Please click the link below and log in with your gamertag info. If you have a gold membership on your account it will show it there.

If it is listed then please try heading to Settings>System>Network and run a connection test. This will log your tag out and should show as Gold when you log back in.

If it does not work or the link above does not show you as having Gold on your account then you'll need to call phone support for further assistance. You can click the link below to get the number for your region.

i don't think it shows it on the subscriptions, but it does show on purchase history.

the connection test didn't work..

the xbox live gold code is correct but on the console it says that I have to enter the correct one even though it is on xbox live

If it's not in your order history at http://account.microsoft.com then it wasn't bought on your account, which would be the issue. Someone else would have bought it and set your console as their Home which is why you can still play it there.
