Xbox says I don't have gold even though I do

I recently tried to play a game online on my xbox one however was confronted with a message telling me I need to upgrade my account to gold. I checked my subscriptions and found that I have gold until November 2015. I tried to purchase another 12 months
of gold on the xbox one dashboard however receive the message "Please try a different payment option". My subscriptions even states that my gold is set to automatically renew itself and that I currently have gold therefore I can't understand why my xbox
tells me I don't. Thanks in advance for any help on the matter.

I'm sorry to see any billing issues! We are unable to assist with those here on the forums. If the
Subscriptions & services page is saying that you currently have Gold, and

removing and re-adding your profile on the console doesn't work, you will want to
contact us via phone or chat for further assistance.

Xbox says I don't have Gold but I do.

So I can't join parties, play multiplayer, or anything because Xbox wants me to buy Gold. Thing is I bought a year of Gold 2 months ago. I'm not paying to buy Gold. I have Gold! I spent over $60 on Gold! Let me play my games and talk to my friends!!

 

I would contact support via phone or chat could be a small error

1. delete your profile from your box and the redownload it again.

I just purchased live gold on my new xbox one, and I have the same problem.
