Xbox says I don't have gold but won't let me use a trial?

When I try and join a party I am told I don't have a gold membership but then when I put a two day trial in it says I can't use it because I already have a gold membership.

Xbox One Saying I don't have gold membership.

My gold membership don't work. When I use the 14 day xbox gold it says I already have gold membership, so I'm confused it won't let me play bf4 or FIFA 14 multiplayer a on xbox one. I usually buy 1 month gold just don't know why it's happening to me. Keeps
telling me I got gold but won't let me go on multiplayer a it keeps saying I need gold even when it's telling me I got gold I'm confused?????

You are showing as Gold here too. Try logging out of your profile and logging back in. Let us know. Good Luck!

Did you have a Trial membership or paid ? Because i have the same problem, on Microsoft webpage under subscriptions it says i have Gold Trial but the Xbone won't recognize it and won't let me play online...haven't found any fix yet even after factory reset....

I've been trying to redeem a 48hr trial code but it won't let me join any parties or anything like that it just says "You need xbox gold for this"

Gold trial codes have limits that won't let you use the full amount of features that regular Gold subscribers have. As far as I know, trial codes only just let you be able to play multiplayer.

You will need to get a regular Gold subscription to transfer Xbox 360 saves to the cloud.

Gold is not required to create and load saves from the cloud when you're on the Xbox One, though.

I don't know if anyone else already posted the solution to this, but a friend had the same issue with the same error. The problem was, he was trying to redeem a code over a trial gold. Live Gold and Gold Trial, doesn't mix up, that's why the solution is
to let the gold subsciption end and then redeem the code. So if you have a Live Gold and try to redeem a Trial code (like the one included with the xbox) or the other way around, it won't work.
