    Xbox saying I’m Offline but I’m not


    When attempting to play games such as Battlefield 4 and Rainbow Six: Siege I get an error message saying I need to be online to play the game. I have these games downloaded digitally, and I have my Home Xbox set on my sister’s Xbox so she can play
    Siege with my friends and I. This hasn’t been an issue until today when I woke up. I get the error saying I need to be online(or set to my Home Xbox) to play, not like the usual “you don’t own this game” message. I re-installed Siege and at the “ready to start”
    I was able to play(albeit with no content), yet when I went to Home and then back to Siege, I get the message again. I can’t switch my Home Xbox as my sister and I switched all 5 times already without knowing who had it set.

    New to Xbox

    Just got an xbox one s, and I’ve been out of the gaming realm for awhile now. I’m trying to play Madden and want to update rosters, and play a season online, but it keeps saying I’m unable to use that feature. Something about my xbox live account? It
    allows me to play offline, but not online. Can someone help a “newbie” out and explain what and how I’m able to use these types of features on Madden and other games. Thanks!

    It's not noted on the status page right now, but there have been several people noting the same issue so I think it is a current problem with Live itself.

    Hey XRAY Elementz,

    If you are still seeing that error message please try a cold boot by unplugging the console for a full 5 minutes then check if the same error shows up.

    If you are still seeing that error message please try a cold boot by unplugging the console for a full 5 minutes then check if the same error shows up.

    Like I said if its both of you it might be an isolated thing. A few other people have mentioned it on twitter. Your time frame also matches up with the few I have seen.

    The only thing you can do is wait for it to be sorted by the techs.
    Okay. Any idea how long it will take? Its 41° celsius outside and im dying.

    Does this friend live near by vs those others?

    When exactly did this issue start?

    And can you send invites to games?

    There seems to be other with this same issue. I think it might be an isolated live issue right now. Your best bet is to wait it out.

    Are you getting any error code that says adjust privacy settings by any chance??

    Or just an error code in general
    None at all it just says i was last seen 2h ago.
