    Xbox S X Spontaneously disconnects from wifi - Hardware issue with no fix


    Since I got my Xbox (over 2 years ago on release) I have found my wifi would just disconnect for a split second and reconnect. This makes my Xbox unplayable online as any ranked game or game longer than 60 minutes, I am likely to kicked out of. I assumed this issue was a software issue as it started within a month or so of the console being out. I then didn’t really play that much, but when I did the same issues occured. And now over 2 years later (no warranty) I look online to see 1000s of comments of people with the same issue and there is no fix whatsoever. No one has helped them and we are all left with a broken Xbox! That we paid £450 for. This is 100% a hardware issue for a faulty batch and i think everyone with this issue should be a top priority.

    yeah I just got the Xbox one x. My first console had WiFi hardware issues. Was fine until Christmas morning when it just didn’t connect ever again telling me I had a lan cable plugged in.

    Now on my second system, but have same issue as you. Keeps disconnecting from WiFi and having to hard reset to fix it. Prob once a day at least. Given all the problems have gone unaddressed, I actually consulted an attorney for a class action lawsuit.
    Hopefully this issue a patch to fix this.

    The Xbox One X has a KNOWN WIFI issue which I thought would be fixed a YEAR later..

    Don't try to troubleshoot me with all that Wifi wizard (Mod Removed - Profanity)

    It's not just with the X. I have a One S and wifi just randomly disconnects and no other device on network has this problem. I have reported it many times but no update to fix it yet.

    Hello,

    I'm the OP from the original post where this one was split from.

    In the end, tired of disconnections, resets, reconfigurations and problems I sold my Xbox One X and I'm very confident this is a hardware/firmware issue and I'm extremely surprised this is not being addressed as the highest priority. There's plenty of people
    with this problem as you can see, and still no solution as I'm afraid it is a design/hardware problem which has no easy fix.

    I invested in a gaming PC and it's the best decision I've taken.

    Good luck with the Xbox One X and the WiFi, I decided to move on and enjoy my PC.

    I recently replaced my original Xbox One with an S and am having very similar issues. I thought it was more ISP at first, but none of my other devices have suffered from the spiking speeds or random disconnect from WIFI. I'm not sure how they haven't fixed
    this by now. Had no issues on original Xbox One.
