Xbox S won't stay on

    Xbox S won't stay on


    I've tried unplugging it, checking the ventilation, all the tricks you can google. Is this fixable or do I need to buy a new console?

    Your problem is a power issue with power brick.

    What does the Light on the brick do when it goes thru the cycle? (power on to auto power off)

    Does the brick ever go to green? orange is sleep mode, if it ever goes to red that is a warning.

    Call support in your area to have a warranty claim started. :)

    No, I turn my xbox on, put a game in and then it turns off. There couldn't have been overheating because the thing was off for a couple days and then was turned on for a few seconds.

    Thanks for your reply. I've already blown through the casing but I will try it again.

    On the assumption that the HDD is dead, if I purchase a new console - will I lose any digital content? IE my console came with a digital version of Forza 4, will I lose it if I buy a new console or will I simply be able to download it again on the new console?
