Xbox S - new out the box update fail

It's not possible to start the process in the app if the console doesn't have internet, you probably had it wired or you already connected to the network, otherwise the app would not be able to connect to the console

Please try this to solve the problem with the setup process

Please perform a power cycle reset, follow these steps:

Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

Restart your Xbox console. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox controller to open the Power Center. Select Restart console and then select Restart. (If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.)

After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

First, power down your console fully and remove the power and network cables for at least 30 seconds. Plug the power cable back in and follow these steps:

Step 1: Hold down the Eject and Bind buttons on your console.

The Xbox series S doesn’t have an Eject button, so the Bind and Xbox buttons will do the trick. Once you are holding the button, press the Xbox (power) button on the front of the console.

Step 2: Release the Xbox button, but continue holding the Bind button for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two tones before releasing this button. The Xbox Startup Troubleshooter will appear shortly after.

Step 3: Select Reset This Xbox from the settings and proceed with the factory reset.

I tried as you asked but all I'm getting is

Updating. Continue setup on your mobile device.

When I try the app it get nothing but setup new device....

As it stands at the moment I've connected the wirelese router to the xbox using and ethernet cable and the router is running fine.

I ran through the app setup all the way to picking the app downloads like Netflix and when I press continue I get a blank screen.

Is there any way I can reset the console and try and start the installation a fresh?

model is x box one s, its not powering up to x box home screen to start with,

tried power resets, ejects etc, last it was updated and thereafter system failed.

my issue was when updates are not constrained by region although software updates, the same affects functioning,

not providing technical support out of warranty is an unfair trade practice but the number of users/gamers there are u just get it repaired if you find someone who can or have to go for a new one coz nobody bothers after a certain time as even wisdom says that after all its material

i got the new x box 250 GB slim 2 day' s ago and it won' t take the update, my old 60 GB HDD downloaded the new update easily and is working fine, if you have an older type of x box that is not the issue. i am returning my new x box on monday, i'll wait
until something better comes out,i spent $300 on a pile of crap, i think i am done with x box i always seem to have problem' s with them./ status code: 396B - 0000 - 3080 - 0515 - 8007 - 2EE2
