Wire works in other devices. Switched wire, reset modem, partial factor reset (keeping apps) but still not joy.

Wireless is fine. Just can't have a wired connection anymore. Help. And thanks.

I apologize, Karnan but if the console is no longer under warranty we may need to pay for the out-of-warranty order if we will be sending it to Microsoft.

Have tried different network connection but have checked the wire works on other devices with issue. It's out of warranty, so 183 to repair which seems ridiculous for an 18 month old console.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Just to isolate the issue further, have you tried to use a different network connection? For example at a friend's or a family member's house just to test it out?

Because if that still won't work, we may need to get the console repaired by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/devices.

My wired connection wont work to my 360

Also: when i set my laptop to wireless then select properties and click on sharing the device's connection, and run an ethernet cable from the laptop ethernet port to the 360's ethernet port, then run the wired network connection test, it works.

    Ethernet port stopped working?

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.

I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today despite this Fushiko

That's a really odd issue, I can advise you two more things to try, if maybe the issue persists... the next step will be request a repair order for your console:

    1. When possible try connecting your Xbox console to a different router to see if that does the trick, or if you have a laptop/PC that supports sharing internet via Ethernet port, you can try it in that way

    2. In case you didn't try it, could be nice perform an offline update for your console. In that way Xbox system will be installed from scratch.

For this you need a USB and PC to format it and transfer files provided in the link below (with steps):

Hope it helps, greetings from another Microsoft user
