    Xbox S Disconnecting from wired connection


    I had a Xbox S delivered on 15th march 2025 and it keeps disconnecting from a wired Ethernet cable and kicking me out of call of duty all the time I upgraded to this from an Xbox one and it never done it the 4 years I had it but I’ve had. Issues with this Xbox s ever since it’s not my WiFi as it’s still connected to my phone iPad, tv etc I’ve seen other forums of this happening to people same model and I feel I’ve been given a faulty Xbox as no my wire is not damaged no it’s not my WiFi it’s the box and I don’t know what else I can do I’ve reset it and unplugged it as per trouble shooting but I’m not happy with how it’s constantly disconnecting what else can I do, do I need a new box?

    Connection type: wired / wireless

    XBOX 360 wireless adapter type: internal wireless / external wireless / internal wired

    If it is a wired connection you are not going to be able to disconnect from it without disconnecting the ethernet cable from the back of your Xbox.

    Hope you are well. I'll be glad to assist you.

    I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

    Please check if the same problem occurs when connecting the console via WiFi and not using the cable, additionally, please try to test connecting your console to another network and check if the same problem occurs, you could configure your smartphone as a Mobile Hotspot and connect your console to that network.

    Is this shown as a message or error somewhere? If so is it on the Xbox itself or the router settings?

    Is your Series X connected wirelessly or wired? Does the issue persist if you disconnect your Xbox One S from the network?

    Just want to give a update on my situation: I activated ipv6 on my router and my xbox one s was able to connect to my wifi. After a day or two I received the same problem again and got disconnected and signed out from xbox live randomly.

    I decided to try a wired connection to my xbox one s and so far I'm having no problems connecting and I have both consoles on at the same time with open nats. My original xbox is on a wireless connection. I will continue to stay on a wired connection so
    I can confirm it must be a wireless issue affecting only my new xbox one s.

    And i know im not fully disconnected from the internet because i can sign back in right away.
