XBOX S can the hard drive be replaced from a broken box to another box?

The internal hard drives are not meant to be swapped out. We cannot advise self-repair.

I am sorry from the email I got I thought you send a box to put it in and mail it back to be fixed. This xbox was broken right out of box. I have the box still can I just send it in that or put box in another box and send back?

If the console can still recognise what the disk is called, eg stating play assassins creed on the dashboard, then just borrow another version of the game and install it onto your hard drive, and you can then play the broken disk on your 360, i did this
with my orange box

It is a counterfeit drive. I was able to try another hard drive and it worked just fine. Is there anyway to get the right files on the hard drive I purchased on Amazon.com. so it can work correctly. Something I can just load on a USB storage and copy it
over?

It was crap, the hard drive said new in box and it wasn't in a box when I received it. Thanks for the help.

I have the same problem Element. I think the hard drives just write too slowly. Having mine replaced for other issues so I will see if another box helps with download speed.
