Xbox S black screen and turns itself off no reset screen

I haven’t used my Xbox S in about 2 weeks. Sat down to play tonight, and nothing.

First, the power comes on, but no screen appears. Then after about 20 seconds the Xbox S powers off on its own.

I disconnected all cables and peripherals. Plugged in the HDMI and power cord. Pressed power. Same result.

I replaced the hdmi cable 4 times. Each cable works for all other devices I own but still Xbox powers on, no screen. And then powers off on its own.

I followed Microsoft’s suggestions. I press the pairing button. I hold it then press the power button (then release the power button) while continuing to hold the first button. There’s no double chime, just a single chime. I release the button after 20 seconds. Xbox then powers itself off after 15 more seconds.

It does not give me a screen, and it does not provide the reset screen at all.

Xbox is only 2 months old, and has been used for less than 100 hours. Plugged directly to a monitor and power directly from the wall. No additional cables or accessories connected. Even the controller will not pair with it. Help me save it.

It is a black screen. I tried power cycling and it didn’t do anything. It did turn itself back off when I did it. I turned it back on. The power is still on but still a black screen

got the same issue with my xbox series s, i was watching netflix and then the screen turned black, tried to turn off the console but nothin worked

Got home from work...had to unplug my xbox to get it on...got past hard reset now it's just a black screen try to turn it off normally and just flashes and doesnt turn off

I unplugged to cycle it still a black screen. Did this update just brick my system

My friend recently had this start happening, he turned it on for the first time in a while to install Advanced Warfare and was met with a clicking noise for s few min, he turned it off and waited a few min, when he turned it back on it will show the Xbox
boot logo and go straight to a black screen. He;s tried all every power down option and gets a black screen no matter what.
