X box s beeps but won't switch on.i managed to reset it last week and update the console but the same thing is happening again.Thank you.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

Do you have an external hard drive plugged into your console? A corrupted hard drive may cause these issues as well. Please unplug the hard drive and then check if there will be an improvement.

If there is none, kindly reset the internal power supply by following the steps below from Xbox Support:

"1. Unplug the power cord from the console.

2. Wait 10 seconds.

3. Plug the cord back into the console, and then press the Xbox button on the front of the console."

Also, make sure that your console is plugged into a wall socket directly.

- Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button to hear a beep to turn on the console. - You will hear a beep immediately and a second beep 10 seconds later.

- The power light will flash before the second beep.

- Do not release until the second triggering beep.

Observation. If you have an Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, you will need to keep both the Xbox button and the Link button, as the console does not have an Eject button.

Many thanks to you both, we are grateful for your help.

Our son only occasionally uses his x box one (which has just gone out of warranty). The power failed while he was playing it yesterday (after playing a brand new disc) and now all that happens is there is about a second of power and the light goes on for
a second, then nothing at all. We have manually ejected the disc.

We have two HDMI and power cables for using the xbox in different rooms, so have tried these options, as well as the advice above (console-wont power on).

As we are new to this process, we have spent the last hour going round and round this website in the hope of finding "an agent" or some sort of livechat with Microsoft to try and get some help.

Is there any type of live chat available for customers in the K (as it seems not)?

Should we attempt a factory reset now, or just go straight to the option of a repair centre.?
