Xbox running ridiculously slow

my Xbox UI/dashboard speed is working RIDICULOUSLY slow, startup itself is extremely slow. I am unable to move even a space over my dashboard before my whole system stalls to a halt. Cant even press the xbox button to bring up the quick menu without it lagging.
yes, I have hard reset so please don't tell me to do that. Absolutley nothing is working

Have any Xbox One users been experiencing this issue!? It is extremely frustrating. If you're a Microsoft employee reading this, please help a loyal customer out!

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to deal with this issue. I can totally understand how this could be pretty discouraging. The best course of action if you cannot get to the settings would be to follow the steps outlined in our support
page for updateissues here (steps
2 and 5).

When you get the chance, give that a shot and let us know if that helped.

Had to replace the hard drive on a less than a two yr old xbox to solve the problem but thanks ☹️.

Update: i was finally able to “refresh” the dashboard but it took FOREVER. Cant even go to the setting without getting a black screen 😑. Interface is still unuseable

So I assume you moved the hard drive between the consoles otherwise it is very unlikely to be the hard drive as it is a different hard drive.

If it is the same hard drive. Try removing the hard drive (temporary) to see if the speed improves

(support.xbox.com/.../add-remove-hard-drive)/

If the speed improves it is safe to assume it is the hard drive

@ Whagi - Running around with Havels armour and that Dragon tooth must slow you down some. The recovery time on that thing is ridiculous. If I were to come across someone in PVP using that thing I'd have a party.
