haha cool beans, i been renewing online through the xbox for the most part but when i am seeing these 10/15 quid off deals i think i been peeing my money up a wall lol need to invest in a year really but never noticed the credits, guess thats where the bulk
of my £1 to spend in store comes from then lol

The returns are really poor. I would much prefer it to be ( Buy 5 AAA titles within a year get 1 free) type a deal or something similar.

 

Or Ozgameshop.com for the Aussies.

I just had about 1.10 added to my account from the rebate and it actually helped as I was 1 euro short for Ground Zeros.

 

I dont even get my rebate when i renew my gold subscription.

 

After checking out the Rewards Faq they have removed the 3000 points for renewing Gold and the survey will happen every 2 or 3 months.

The Faq states that they are reworking the way to earn rewards but it features the current Media Punch card as what to expect in the future. Not to rewarding at all.

 

Well that sucks as I won't remember every 2-3 months to do the survey. I do hope they revamp the program into something good. Maybe a higher percentage rebate. Even better would be buying a game during a deal with gold promotion and receive the dlc for free
or digital preordering a game gets you a $20 rebate added to your account.

 

^^A $20 rebate? Seriously? $10 would probavly ve the max considering thats what the MS Store gives you.

 

@24 I've seen the Microsoft store give away 1600 Microsoft points for buying both Tomb Raider and Gears of a War Judgement last year. If memory serves that is $20.

 

Giving away $20 for buying 2 games is the sane as giving away $10 for one...

 

@24 Sorry if didn't type that clearly enough. I posted it even knowing it may not have been clear enough so my bad. It was 1600 a piece. That made a Tomb Raider and Gears of War: Judgement $40 a piece.

 

Ah ok that makes sense. What doesnt though is you knew it wasnt clear but still typed it. Ill forgive you this time. I can see why Gears got such a good deal but not TR. In any event the standard seems to be $10 so a $20 credit is a long shot. After all
we are talking about a scheme that wants you to spend $300 to get 25 back.

 

Well I figure if you shoot for the moon ($20) and miss you'll land amongst the stars ($10). I believe Best Buy rewards programs does/used too do the $20 credit for preorders and isn't game specific. If they want to be the place to buy games they should sweeten
the deal as best as possible IMO. Especially since that $20 has to be spent on more stuff off their own marketplace.

As to why I posted anyway. I was having difficulty with this word in Japanese So I was in my "whatever mode" at the time.
