Xbox rewards refund went to US dollars instead of AU

Hi,

I have $12.29 on a US Microsoft account. I have never even been to the US. I live in Australia, and as such it will not let me use this money.

I have been through the biggest headache trying to use or transfer this money for the past couple of years. now it is about to expire and i have been on the phone for hours today trying to resolve it so i can use the money. I have been informed that the
money came from a refund from Xbox Rewards.

It was "November 23rd 2016 For Xbox rewards department, listed as refunded".

I need to be able to use the money in my account and cannot use it unless I am able to gain access to it in the Australian store.

What does that means, I own 10 dollars to Microsoft? lol

 

Converting aus MS cards to us MS cards

So, my friend leaves for the us tomorrow, and so a few of us got him 50 dollar xbox one cards for going away, because we knew he loves his xbox one. but since he will be in america, can the aus cards still work?? or is there a way to convert them from the
aus dollar on them to us dollars?? as he doesnt want to waste all the cards

 

Support would be the only ones who could possible transfer money, but they typically won't. You would have to try working with billing. Contact Us | Xbox Support

The Xbox Rewards program was shut down a while ago in Australia and everywhere else so it is no longer possible to contact their support. They also would not have been able to transfer the funds after they had been deposited.

 

already been on the phone to them for more than a few hours and they told me to post here to talk with Xbox Rewards.

Guess I will just start again tomorrow...

 

Dude, that’s a lot of time to be going back and forth over 12 bucks. Honestly, you’d be better to just forget about it especially since MS Rewards is over.
