xbox rewards program being scaled back/side-lined/cancelled?

I see that on the main xbox webpage there is no longer any direct link to the rewards program in any of the drop-down menu. if I was a new member and there are thousands every day I would never know the program existed. it is also now a lot harder to get
to the page if you didn't save a direct link to it as a search using the keywords XBOX REWARDS does not display a prominent link. its waaay down there about half a page in small print. is Microsoft marginalizing the program in preparation for cancellation?

I never get shit for being in the rewards program. I've been downloading a lot of digital games for Xbox One and haven't received any credits. Xbox rewards is garbage.

 

Can't Join XBOX live reward

I am in United states but when i try to join xbox live rewards i get below message.

Unfortunately, you can't join Xbox Live Rewards right now. It's strictly because the program is not available in your country. Check back often as new countries are being added to the program.

 

There's been no official word on if/when the program will be cancelled. The program has never been advertised very much to begin with, but has been advertised on the console more now than it used to.

 

thanks for the reply. the scary thing is this is the first time the major link on the main xbox page has not been there. for the first time ever there is no mention anywhere on xbox.com that the program even exists. it seems to me that with the bing program
being expanded a little that the main rewards program is being phased out. a major program like this should not have just disappeared from the main website without just cause.

In Australia they have phased the Xbox Rewards program out in favor of the Microsoft Rewards program, but there hasn't been any word on if that will happen elsewhere.

Basically until there is an official statement regarding the program, it's not being shut down or anything.

 

Would love to know what is happening with the program going forward. There are plenty of games I want to pre order and if the program is being dissolved it would be nice to have some confirmation so we don't miss out on any of the bonuses.
