Xbox Rewards problem

I've been a gold member since 2010, with well over 1000$ in purchases just on the 360 alone, and yet I have no VIP reward status. I've more than earned it, so my question for you is why aren't my purchases being reflected in my VIP status? It's a big deal
because I've shown a lot of support for Xbox, and purchased tons of games on the marketplace. Please help!

Destiny reward problem last night ...

The patch yesterday seems to have caused disconnection issues. I managed to get through the raid without any of the 6 of us disconnecting but I've heard not-so-good things and Reddit is pretty angry.

It seems like your buddy Avi didn't get loot for the Nightfall based on your description. That makes sense. He "quit" the game before the mission end countdown, so as far as Destiny is concerned he didn't finish it. This is the case in any mission or strike, the rewards are given out as soon as the mission end timer starts counting down. Unfortunately he was unable to get back into the game before the loot was rewarded, so he'll have to do it again.

The heroic makes less sense. You definitely finished it without leaving early? What does your map say? You should be able to see if you can earn rewards on it or not. If you're eligible for 9 coins, then you didn't get credit for it for some reason. If you're not eligible for 9 coins, then the game knows you finished it. Are you sure you didn't get the 9 coins? Maybe there was only space in the mission debriefing for the engrams and you actually did get the coins, check your inventory. It could always be a weird bug, but I haven't heard of the game failing to give players any guaranteed loot.

 

Destiny reward problem last night ...

So in short, the update had everyone's connection messed up last night ... i did the nightfall with 2 friends & we kept lagging out in random order throughout the whole mission but we always had one still in the mission to invite each other back so we did it on our first run but it took even longer than usual...then one of the funniest moments happened followed by one of the most frustrating moments ... my friend Avi got the final shot on the boss & lagged out instantly which led to me and the other guy going into a laughing fit cause he had no time to join back for the rewards ... the frustrating part was that i got a legendary scout rifle & the other guy got a legendary sniper ... that was all .... is this because maybe the game thought we joined at the end because we kept leaving and rejoining & could be part of the patch ? Or maybe we just got really unlucky ?

We did the weekly heroic after & they both got all the rewards ... the 9 coins & engrams etc but i only got 2 decoherants and NO coins !

Does anyone know why ?

MyVip resets on a yearly basis. You have to maintain a minimum spending threshold each year to keep earning MyVip star ranks. You can review the spending thresholds in the terms and conditions here: Xbox Live Rewards

It's also important to keep in mind that pre-orders, in-game consumables, subscriptions and items that qualify for other promotions do NOT qualify for MyVip. The program has changed considerably since 2010.

A reward staff member will review your account and reply to you here. They work Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm PST and typically take 1-2 business days to reply. They do not work weekends.

You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at Xbox Live Rewards .

2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

In September 2014 we changed to the MyVIP policy. As a result, payback based off Gamerscore (MyAchievements) was discontinued. Also, as of July 2014, we do not award Credits for Xbox Live Gold renewals. MyVIP has a recalibration every year. At the end of
the year, we place you in your MyVIP rank for the new year based off your eligible spending from the previous year, and set your progress to the default state. This happened in September 2015 and December 2016. Since you are a zero star member, you do not
get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards).
