    The xbox I am using is in the UK but these apps are doing ip location and seem to decide I am not in the UK. I contacted my ISP Zzoomm plc in the uk and they said "we have taken over the IP address from it's previous owner who in this case were located in the US." One of the major geolocation databases is MaxMind. It shows me in the uk. These services may be using a static database for this info and it needs to be updated. https://www.maxmind.com So the question is how do we get Microsoft to update the ip location database/service they are using. Everything works fine when connected to my phones hotspot, but rewards and cloud gaming decide I am in the wrong market when I use broadband.

    Hi. Sorry . This is actually about an old question you had. Yesterday I I was on Lego Fortnite. I shut it down and went out shopping. Got home a few hours later and turned my Xbox on. I was gonna jump back into Lego fn but going into the map from the lobby the Xbox shut off. Went through that a dozen times. Usually shuts down at the same point. A couple times the map did open but only for maybe 5 or 10 seconds and then power off.

    Same with cod. Shuts down right after I hit start match.

    I did all the stuff you see in the searches.

    Took it most of the way apart to clean. It wasn’t terribly dusty.

    Like you said it’s not really hot as this happens immediately.

    I’m just wondering what you came up with? I’d really appreciate any input.

    I tried that last week, actually spoke to someone with a US accent, they promised me an update within the hour. I've heard nothing since via phone or email. I've been n trying to get this fixed since December!

I strongly advise you visit https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us providing relevant information, such as the fact that your IP address was taken over from a previous owner located in the US, and that your ISP and other geolocation databases show that you're in the UK.
