Xbox Rewards - $5 pre-paid Visa card

Hi,

Before the Xbox Rewards scheme transferred across to MS rewards for UK members, I redeemed the majority of my VIP Gems for rewards. However, I have the following issues.

1. One of the rewards I selected was for the $5 pre-paid Visa card. I assumed that as a UK member of the reward scheme, I would receive the equivalent value in £ sterling. However, when I redeemed the code; I discovered that the card would be loaded with
$US.

With transaction & exchange fees, this will reduce the value of the reward. Please could you explain why this reward was offered to UK members?

2. I redeemed the code on the website before the end of June & was informed that a card would be sent to me within 5 days. It is now over 1 month & I still have not received the card. I have tried to contact the company on 2 occasions, but have not received
any reply.

Please could you look into this issue.

Can't use gift card money.

I Had the same problem last month i have a rewards card from my work which is basically a pre paid visa card i tried 3 times to buy live and it blocked my card totally had to get the card unblocked. in the end i used my standard visa debit card which worked
fine. i Don't think Microsoft like pre paid cards for some reason

 

Pre-paid visa or master card

Can you use pre-paid visa or master cards to buy xbox live gold memberships from the dashboard? I don't want to get a credit or debit card and I don't wanna use a pre-paid card to buy an xbox live pre-paid gold card at a store like Wal-Mart. If so then which
kinds can you use to make the purchase? I just need to know if I can use a pre-paid visa or master card.

 

It said 5 USD not 5 GBP so I would try spending it online somewhere that accepts USD

Xbox support does not handle rewards issues. He would need to wait for a response from Xbox Rewards support here.

The prepaid VISA cards are actually redeemed on another site to actually get the card. So it should be given in your local currency.

 

When I originally received the email with the code to redeem this reward, the link to redeem the code sent me to the Microsoft website. It was only after several of us posted in this forum, were we then directed to www.prepaiddigitalsolutions.com
to redeem the code. As far as I could see, there was no mention of local currency on their website; all references are in USD.

I've tried to check back on my previous posts to the Xbox forum, to double check I had the correct address, but all my previous posts appear to have been deleted.

I think it was listed as $5 (AEV); which I thought meant we would receive the equivalent value in our own currency.
