  1. Xbox restarts when i change input on my monitor. How do i fix this?

I have a HDMI switch linked to my pc monitor. I use the switch to switch from my pc to my xbox 360 slim 320gb using the same monitor. When i switch from my xbox to my pc, everything goes well and i see what my pc is displaying. When i try to switch back
to my xbox, the xbox restarts. What do i have to do to keep the xbox running when i switch back to my xbox?

    :)

  2. HDMI AV Cable reboot xbox

No we are having the same problem as your fiance.

We are using the OFFICIAL cable provided by microsoft or Xbox and are having to do the same thing as your fiance.

Are xbox restarts once we select the HDMI input or turn the monitor on.

We are just trying to figure out if there is a way that we can have the monitor/tv on a different input and have the xbox running, and then change it back to HDMI and NOT have the xbox restart...

You know, so we can be productive and all.

If we have the input on the xbox and change it, I have the xbox running to external speakers so I am still able to get the sound, but once I change the input back to get video again, everything restarts.

Just wondering if there is a cable fix or something for this. If not... xbox should really look into it.

Xbox restarts when I switch the HDMI input - How do I fix it?

If you have a set of headphones plugged in using the port above the HDMI port and you use the HDMI port the XBox recognizes a new output for the video (which is actually just your optical out for your headphones.) If you remove your headphone connection
and just use the HDMI then it won't reset. When you need to use the headphones plug them in when you're at a safe spot to restart the XBox and then unplug them after use. That's the easy fix anyway.
