Xbox resets modem without even being connected.

Hello, i have a xbox 360 pro and every time it powers on my modem resets. I usually sonnet it over ethernet and whether it is connected or not to the modem. it still resets. I don't understand this at all. I assumed it would be a power/outlet problem and
switched outlets, same results. My modem works fine with all my other devices, besides the wii u. which has an almost similar problem

Need help with xbox live

My xbox(s) have been messin up lately, The wireless one used to do this alot but now my hard wired one right to the router doesnt like connecting have the time even tho we have internet going.. i think there is issues with XBL period lately. Best bet man is unplug your router and modem, wait a min then plug just your modem.. let it turn on and go online, then plug in your router. reset ur box and see if it works

 

honestly xbox one x is a pos when it comes to network connections

Are you saying that even when your console is just sitting there, without any connectivity/unplugged to your router (wired, wireless), it resets your modem/router?

When you say "modem resets", does this mean that your console reset your modem/router to factory defaults, without even being connected to this device?

How long have you had this console?

 

yes it has no physical or wireless connection with the modem/router. just plugged into the outlet and tv.

 

The electric outlet, which you have your console's power supply plugged in to, is this outlet on the same group , as for the outlet which your modem is plugged in to?

When you tried to troubleshoot, with a different outlet, is this outlet located on a different group (separate fuses)?

 

its on the same group since i need to use ethernet but it didn't do this before. this problem came up around 2 weeks ago

 

If it's possible, try use a different power supply for your console.
