XBOX Reset Problems

I reseted my Xbox One x today, after weeks of freezing console again and again i decided to make a total reset and delet all the games too.

At the first settings like Language and so on it cant make the update (37mb), internetconnection is here but it failed...

so i tried to make the offline update. I pressed the two buttons under the XBOX Button on the console and hold them till i heard the 2 Xbox voices.

I connected the USB Flash to the console but i still cant click on Offline Update.

Anybody can help me ? Is there any other way i can do the offline update ? :/

PS: Sorry for the horrible English, im german ^^

I'm having problems with my Xbox one

I've found a hard reset usually fixes most of the problems I have with my xbox. Have had problems with loading before.

How to Clear Your Xbox One's Cache

I had a problem with Skype the other day and only resetting fixed it.

What do people think about doing a manual reset once a week just to avoid problems?

I have security camera DVR and it automatically will reboot once a week at a time you can set.
I have it set to reboot Sun at midnight.

I would rather reset once a week and help eliminate any problems that try to Skye with someone
and try and try and try only to have to reboot when I need to do something.

Any thoughts???????

Thanks for answering the first problem I encountered when I factory reset a year ago. Very helpful. Unfortunatly that account is un-retrievable but not a huge loss.

My main problem is that today I pressed 'reset and keep all games and apps'... I was asked to input my account information namely a telephone number which generated a new account with an email that is one character different from the account I was trying
to log into, but from the xbox home add profile I could sign in to my account without a problem. There is a problem with reset and add existing account which will not let me add an existing account after I reset.

I am terriible at explaning... I hope this clears up my outstanding problem.

Again thanks for the great input. Very helpful but I still have a problem where I cannot add existing account after a reset and this generates a new account with one character difference in the email address when I try to add an existing account.

example.... existing account email - *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***

enter existing account or telephone number _ *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** (message-profile not found)

enter existing account or telephone number _ 09876543211 (generated new email profile *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***)

This has to be a hardware error

Again you can have an email used to sign into an account with or an email AND phone number to sign into an account with so im guessing that account that you were trying to get back into only had an email to sign in with that somehow was mistyped because
when you tried to put it is you got the message the account was not found then when you put in the phone number it generated a new account with the email.

So once again at this point the best thing to do would be to contact xbox support and see if they can find the account for you with the gamertag.

Thank you so much. I contacted support and they have escalated my issue as a priority as to return a full investigation within 48-72 hours with their offline specialists as I should've been able to reset and log in with my existing account without any problems,
support aggress something went wrong thats needs investigating because my email should not have said profile not found as I am a good player with very little negative feedback the system should not have blocked my attempt to sign in and automatically generate
a new email with my phone number without my consent. Also I am signed into 2 accounts at the same time which apparently should not be possible. They will look for a workaround to my issue and make sure it never happens again, I'm not sure what they will do
yet but I will post the outcome here. Thank you for your great advice.

customer support will not take me seriously and wants video proof. they wont investigate because I can not prove it. Well guess what everyone....

If somebody gets your email address (not exactly hard to find) your telephone number (which can be bought along with everyone else's data) anyone can create a similar email account and attach your telephone number to it without a security alert. This will
glitch your current account and remove your number from it without any security alerts. And your account will loose all knowledge that a telephone number was ever active on the account. Now if someone blocks your account through failed sign ins there is no
way you can retrieve your account unless you have used a credit/debit card that is still in use on the account to make a purchase and can prove it is yours.

Just a matter of time untill a group of people exploit this security glitch.

XBOX Reset Problems
