Xbox reset itself

Yesterday I was playing battlefront 2 and all of a sudden my game crashed, I let it sit for about 2 minutes then after just pressed the home button and pressed dashboard. After I pressed home my Xbox just shut itself off. I turned my Xbox back on only to realise my Xbox had reset almost back to its factory settings, the only thing left were my games. My wallpaper was gone and so were my 2 accounts. I knew my main account by heart but I’ve forgot my email and phone number for my alt account :/ this had so much progress on and It would kill me to lose it. I know my username and password, is there any way to log in using them? This was an Xbox series x btw.

So my accounts GOLD subscription and Achievements Are all gone AFTER THIS UPDATE ... please help im going to smash my xbox if everything is gone

Wish they would’ve sent out a notification or something. It freaked me out. If they would’ve notified me and been like “oh to fix one of our updates we need to reset your console” then at least I would’ve known what was going on.

They sent out a notification. Please check the
Xbox Wire often for information about the new release notes (among other things).

Thanks for the reply. In order to keep if from happening in the future, make sure you are connected to the network.
Saved games are automatically stored in the cloud while you're connected to Xbox Live. You don't have to select cloud storage. If you sign in to a different Xbox One console, your saves are available from that console when you sign in with your Xbox profile.

If you disconnect from Xbox Live while playing a game, you can continue playing. If you're not connected to Xbox Live when you leave a game, your game save won’t be uploaded to the cloud. You must connect to Xbox Live before you can use
the game save on another console. When you connect to Xbox Live, your game save will be uploaded to the cloud.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, if you went through the troubleshooting articles, you have exhausted all available resources we have. At this point, the saves may have been deleted. By doing the troubleshooting steps provided by XBF Nestor, a factory
reset will refresh the operating system of the Xbox.

One other thing worth a try is contacting the game developer to see if they have a saved file for you.

We suggest troubleshooting the actual account since it could be the problem. The first thing to try is

Remove and Re-download the account IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

There is a stable network connection.
The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!
