Xbox replacement controller troubles

I filed for a replacement controller that was broken when I bought it. I had been emailing with xbox for a day or two at the time and I finally got an email saying how they had set aside the controller I had chosen to replace my broken one with. This email
also said I would get a follow up email about my order details and Its been a week and I still havent gotten this email, What should i do?

Thanks for reaching out to us on forums for this issue. Since you haven't received a follow up email detailing any further order details, you can choose to reply directly to the email that you last received from the agent who created your case, or you can
contact support directly and reference your case number (beginning with the letters SR) from any of the emails that you've received thus far to have someone look into the situation for you for an update.

When you go to Contact Usto request a callback, follow these steps:

Step 1 ----select Xbox One
Step 2 ----select no thanks, then select category system update
Step 3-----gives some troubleshooting or help tips, select "Show contact options"
Step 4 ----select request a call from support

Once they call, explain the issue and they will be able to help you. You may need to select different categories if you don't see the option to request a call back.

In this support thread, it mentions a possible controller replacement. I could imagine how annoying it could be to replace a controller for just one button and if you think it's the Xbox that is causing this issue, perhaps you could borrow a friends controller
and see if the A button works on that with your Xbox. If It does, it will be your controller and I'd advise a replacement.

Ifnyou have any trouble with your controller go back to Walmart to ask for a replacement.

Remember you only have 90 days of warranty with Xbox.

Xbox One Wireless Controller Troubleshooter. Depending on your region and when you bought it you may be eligible for a replacement via warranty, if not purchasing a replacement is going to be your best option.
