    XBOX Repair Service Issues


    I sent my XBOX ONE Day One Edition to Microsoft's Texas Repair Facility to have the Blu-Ray Drive replaced due to it exhibiting the "won't read/grind, etc." well-documented DAY ONE issue. Anyhow, they received the console, they supposedly "repaired" it,
    and sent me a tracking number on Monday saying it was "shipped." Well, let me tell you... it wasn't shipped. FED EX has no record of this tracking number, and they told me to contact the shipper (Microsoft) to find out what was going on. I tried to do this
    yesterday, but the gentleman "Harry" who obviously had no clue what was going on and "spoke" (typed) broken English told me it hasn't shipped and they were waiting to "activate" the tracking number with Fed Ex. My question is, HOW LONG CAN THAT TAKE? I have
    owned and operated a business which uses Fed Ex on a regular basis and in no way are they that slow to get a tracking number in their system. What is going on down in Texas, Microsoft? Why does it take so long to get a console shipped back to the consumer?
    I'm disappointed in the lack of promptness in getting what was a manufacturer's defect taken care of.

    Update Failed. Status code 3524-0000-3080-0502-8007-0468

    I believe that your console is still in need of further repair. Call 1-800-4MY-XBOX (1-800-469-9269) to speak with a customer service / repair technician about getting your console back in for repair. Sorry you are having issues after your repair.

    That's a strange one, although I've had issues with the support pages on Xbox.com too.

    If I was you I'd give support a call, as they should be able to tell you the status of your repair, plus you can let them know about the website issue. As most of the forum sections here are regular users helping other users, I'm not sure you'll get another
    solution to this.

    I'm sincerely sorry for any frustration this may have caused. The tracking code can take several days to update, which is stated in the email you received. Some times the email is sent when the tracking number is created, and not when it is shipped. If the
    tracking code does not update in 10 business days, post back so we can help you get this sorted! XBOX Repair Service Issues :)

    Also, just piggybacking on what Beep said, you get that email immediately when the shipping information is created (i.e. a label is printed, which generates the tracking number.) However, if I'm not mistaken, the actual repair facility is across the border
    in Mexico, which is why all of our return shipments go to McAllen, TX, the closest location to the Mexican repair facility. The items are transported to the repair center and back to the border and, from what I understand, the tracking number is scanned when
    FedEx picks it up at the McAllen center, not at the source in Mexico.
