    XBOX renewal on wrong account


    My daughter wanted to renew her subscription to xbox gold. We were unable to renew on the screen as it did not recognize the password (the credit card had expired). We were able online, but the renewal went to an inactive account on her xbox 360. How
    can we switch the renewal to the correct account? While renewing it also asked if we would like to change our email, which we did because the original email used is no longer active and the new email was the default. It looks like it changed applied everything
    to the inactive account.

    How to Turn off auto renewal or cancel Xbox LIVE membership

    How to turn off auto renewal

    It is recommended that you cancel your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership using the option of turning off automatic renewal. If auto renewal is "off", your membership will expire at the end of its current term.

    Steps to follow:

    1) If you are not already signed in, click Sign In at the upper right hand corner and sign in using your Microsoft account.

    2) Proceed to My Account.

    3) Click Change next to automatic renewal. Change the setting to OFF

    You will be able to continue enjoying all the benefits of Xbox LIVE Gold Membership until your paid membership time expires.

    Note:

    If you want to cancel or disable your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership immediately, you should contact Xbox support. Use the Request a Call from Support option on the official Xbox Contact Us page. Your account cannot be canceled through chat or email.

    If you disable your account immediately, you will lose the time remaining on your membership subscription.

    If you are on a 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract, and you want to cancel before the end of the 2 years, you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and other applicable taxes. Once the two-year agreement period is over, your account will not be renewed automatically.

    You can cancel the 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract using the option of self-cancel your subscription on Xbox.com

    I'm pretty certain that once you redeem a code to an account, it is irreversible.

    You can try your luck with 1-800-4MY-XBOX and explain the situation to a representative, they MIGHT be able to help you, but there's no guarantees.

    You lose the game on Xbox One if your Gold Sub runs out. You regain the game if you renew your Gold sub. So your statement about single player access for Silver accounts with One games is simply wrong.

    well my tweet to xbox support seems to have been ignored... how rude and there is nothing wrong with my payment options as i have just bought some stuff off xbox live, but i still cannot renew my subscription on the xbox website, i even tried to renew it
    by selecting

    Accounts>xbox live gold>view purchase details> selected £5.99 option > confirm purchase.... nothing not even an error message
