Xbox remains un-formatted after I formatted it & still getting an update that tells me ...

I was put in the position where I tried everything and had no choice but to format my xbox. My xbox is still telling my that it remains un-formatted after I just did and the system update that I been getting for the pass 2days keeps telling me that I can't
update cause i dont have the 190MB space when i had 124GB of space before formatting and now that i did formatted my xbox.

What is going on here? cause I am not happy that I was forced to format my console deleting all of my downloaded content & save game data and isn't getting closer to having this problem solved.

Now after returning to my Xbox One after it being turned off it has gone back to the large un formatted 1080 even while set to HDMI instead of Auto Detect. I have played with the settings again and it still wont give me the correct formatting outside of
720 resolution.

 

Sounds like an issue with the hard drive itself. Which console do you have? The S or the FAT? Where did you purchase the hard drive from? A gaming store or online?

 

Its a slim. I had it for 2 years, got at the shopping center from the AFB that my family and I were station at.

If it possible that a hacker sent a virus or cause bad lag in a game to mess it up?

and also is it possible to copy system data off another hard drive? cause the system updates that I keep getting won't let me back up my data.

 

What is the current size of your console's hard drive? Currently there is only 250 and 320 GB available. Any other size would mean that the drive you have is a 3rd party drive and is not supported by the Xbox service.

The system update i was getting stop after I put in a flash drive but without it, the system update appear. the console will not let me get on the hard drive cause it say unformatted and I dont have a or get the data back up

 

It may be an issue with the hard drive itself. Try removing all storage devices for the duration of the update. It should install directly to the internal flash drive.
