Xbox red ring

    Did you get a new cord or are you using component cables? It could be possible that the ring happened as a result of the cord breaking or it could be the start of something else.

    If you get it again or an error be sure to post back for advice or consider getting the console repaired.

    The hdmi cord was quite old and it made my screen have red lines and flickers to black, i was trying to push it into the tv harder and it gave away, i think thats what might of caused it seeing my xbox was in good condition

    I could help you with the red rings and what it means:

    4 red rings: AV cable not put in properly, plug in properly

    3 red rings: General Hardware Error, cool down for 1 hour

    2 red rings: Over heated, cool down 1 hour

    1 red ring: System encountered hardware error, send repair

    That is all I know and and correct me if I am wrong.

    console really come in... but mostly i really have known in xbox 360 100% encountering red ring of death..
