Xbox red dots appearing on my screen when on auto detected (recommend)

If the above possible solution doest work, you will need to
factory reset your console by accessing startup troubleshoot.

To run startup troubleshooter:

1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.
2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
4. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button  on the console. Note: The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition does not have
   an EJECT button. On this console you only need to hold the BIND button (steps 5 & 6) and then press the Xbox button
5. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
6. Listen for two "power-up" tones a couple of seconds apart. Note: If you don't hear two power-up tones after 15 seconds, it means this failed. Likewise, if you hear any "power-down" chirps, that also means this failed.
7. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

This will open a series of option, if you can see the screen there, just choose to factory reset with option "keep all my games and apps"
to not delete the installations.

if you have the device fully powered off (unplug the power from the back and plug it back in) then press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds does it go back to the 'compatibility' mode?

mine started doing something like this where the screen was breaking and going off, i had to send it away to someone to replace a faulty chip on the motherboard for it, otherwise if its out of warranty then its a pricey fix from microsoft

Are there any error messages on screen when the console freezes, or the red dot appears on the console?

you can call it whatever you want. when where i'm aiming isn't where i'm hitting, i call it a hit detection problem. why then give me a little red dot if when that red dot is on someone's head it doesn't give headshots?

i have the new slim version (star war limited edition) i have just a red dot light showing, it was working fine when i turn it on but when starting to play a game the screen went black and the red light appeared and the disc tray wont open
