    Game DVR recordings over 30mins not saving

    Ok, so have been attempting to use the game dvr to record overwatch, and it works fine for short clips, three separate times for a clip over 1hr long, upon stopping recording i see the notification 1:11:00 recorded or whatever, if i click on that it opens
    up game dvr and shows that there are no recordings, using file explorer also confirms that the default destination is empty. But heres the odd part, while recording i can see that there is a video in captures in file explorer, however cannot access it as it
    is currently in use by another program, then it disappears when i finish recording. There is plenty of available space on my pc.

    summed up short clips work fine, long clips are being deleted automatically upon ending the recording.

    any help would be appreciated

    Yes that is correct. I connected to my Xbox from Win 10 and then started the stream. Then on the laptop I used the keyboard shortcut to start the recording (Win+Alt+R). Let the recording run for 2 minutes and then pressed Win+Alt+R again to stop the recording.
    I then get a notification that the recording is complete. I then stop the stream and go to the Game DVR page on the Xbox app to review the recording and found that it is only 40 seconds long. I opened the recording folder in windows explorer and it is still
    only 40 seconds long.

    Good luck with your campaign but i don't really think Microsoft will make the change too soon and jump from a limit of a 5 minute recording to a 30 minute recording, because for this it would most likely take a long time to save the recording and will take
    up a bit of space in upload on your console and your one drive on other devices. So for now hopefully the next update to the game dvr is up to around l 10 minutes for now.

    I can't play games that I own because it says I need game pass even though I haven't had it for months

    I have just spent 30mins on the phone to xbox live to be told i must have used the game via game share as there is no record of me purchasing the game. The chap I spoke with couldn’t grasp it was a free download a year ago as I already owned the xbox one

    Xbox one won't record clips any longer than 24 seconds

    Go to your capture settings and change the record what happened to 5 minutes. If you press start recording it lasts way longer. Record what happened is for short clips only. Starting a recording has a longer duration.
