"Xbox Record That" producing no audio.

I've been having the issue over the past few weeks where the clips I've been recording have had no audio. When I playback the clip, let it be on the Xbox One itself or the Smartglass app, there is no audio. The clip is completely silent.

I've done a hard reset on the console, but the issue still persists.

Everything else works just fine. To note, I am apart of the preview program.

Anyone know how to fix it?

Have you updated your console to the latest update? There was one that went out just last night. Check out Settings > System to see if you have an update ready for you. Check out Console Info in the System settings to see if
you are currently on the most recent
operating system for Xbox One.

If you are, let's give this a try:

• Remove your profile from your Xbox One.
  
• Hold the power button for 8 seconds (or until it shuts off).
• Power your console on again.
• Download your profile back onto your console.

Please give this a try and let us know how it works! Note that if you have too many game clips recorded, it may not let you record more. Delete some and see if that helps you out. Once you've given these a try, we'll see what our next steps are.

In this link in particular they are asking for feedback on the issue so they can continue to investigate it. Sounds like yours is constant so you may want to make a new post over there to help them out .

I've also just had the April update, and I get no sound on the upload videos I've recorded today. And everything is good on my end because I used the game DVR yesterday with no problems before the update so what gives?

 

I had zero audio problems until the April 2014 update. There were, and still are, a ton of issues with Xbone. I wish they'd through me a bone. My friends and I have been 360 gamers for years and never had so many issues in 7 years as we have had in seven
months on Xbone. It's a joke of a system and now the latest update merely created an even bigger issue with no sound. If I want to have game DVR, my only solution would be to buy a Sony PS4, but Microsoft has taken $1300 of my hard earned dollars and now I
cannot afford the more worthy of systems anyway. I can't find a buyer for my junk system anyway and I've invested two years of Xbox Live already. What a scam!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Since buying the xbox one, I've discovered this forum site for no other reason than Xbox One is by far THE worst hardware and software gaming I've ever used. I'm at a loss for words almost. I guess I need to go back to 360, but my buddy sold his 360 already
and we wouldn't be able to play anymore. It's ridiculous. What a joke.

 

Op this is a known issue and being worked on, a reboot helps for a short time.
