    Xbox “record that” only captures 3-5s


    For the last week or so my XB1X has started to only 3-5s, instead of the last 2 minutes like I have it set to do.

    Its set to record to my internal drive, which had well over 700GB free.

    Anyone else ever have this problem, and if so, whats the solution?

    Are you recording them in 4K? Have you tried switching your resolution settings for the game clip to 1080p or 720p? Switching to 1080 or 720 for a few recordings and then switching back to 4k has seemed to work for some in the past.

    Hi not sure this helps but i noticed that around the same time as you all i had to do was reset console power 10 secs and went back in dvr settings and re apply the setting. This i think happened after an update. You could try holding power till the system
    completely shuts down and then pull the plug both ends just to ensure its power has disapated.

    I would try changing the resolution you are trying to capture in. Also if you have an external hard drive that is compatible, try recording on to that to see if it works there. Might help to narrow down the issue.
