Xbox record that and game dvr help! Annoyance!

Hello,

I have been using my Xbox One since release obviously but I have been wondering something a while and Google is not really any help!

When saying "Xbox record that" Then it does a 30 second clip which is highly annoying when you've done maybe more than that... So I tried game DVR... Which then only records a 5minute video and stops completely... Which again is annoying!

So is there a way that when saying "Xbox record that" it records 5mins or however like "Xbox record 5minutes" because it's coming annoying having to stop, add game dvr, record, stop, record, stop, and put all together so wanted to make it easier, also the
game pausing when doing is even worse when in multiplayer.

Xbox One game DVR will not record

When I try to use the game DVR feature an error message pops up saying: sorry, we couldn't record that. (0x8232300b)

I'll even say Xbox record that! Nothing happens.

Snap game DVR and try manual record and that's when I get the error message. Please help me!

its official!!!!!!

You should say "Xbox Record that" to record the last 30 secs. If you say "Xbox go to game dvr" it will snap the dvr but you than have to manually hit record.

most people seem to be recording their own voice via a PC not natively on the Xbox DVR.

Sorry but you cannot record live TV from the Xbox One using DVR. You can only use the DVR to record Xbox One video games.

I had same issue of the dvr not recording when i requested ' xbox record that' I was getting the notification saying that the clip was being recorded however there was no notification saying that the recording had ended. However the dvr recorded automatically
when being promoted etc.

My fix was the snap the game dvr while playing the game so that its on in the background. Now all my xbox record that requests are now being saved and ready for editing
