Xbox rebooted

I just wanted to share a problem and solution I figured out regarding a continuous reboot of the xbox.

The other day I went to do download the free Xbox game Crackdown for the month of August, (free for Gold members) and I thought the download was complete and everything was fine. I turned my system on the next morning and everytime I went to login the
system would freeze and reboot itself.

At one point my kids could login to their accounts for a short time and everything seemed fine, but eventually the system just continually rebooted everytime anyone logged in. I read on other forums it was a hard drive problem etc. and you need to replace
it. So I pulled my hard drive and put in a flash drive and downloaded my profile to the flash drive and play the xbox that way. Which seemed to work fine. Nevertheless on my attempt to re-download minecraft to the flash drive, I noticed the pending download
Crackdown. Although I thought I downloaded it, it didn't and was just stuck on that download.

Anyway, I deleted that pending download from my system put back in my hard drive and voila it was fixed. No hard drive problem. In the end it was the pending download that caused some sort of error which in turn caused my xbox to reboot continuously.


not sure if it helps this situation, but I thought I'd post as I've seen other people complain they have had this problem after downloading latest updates, games, etc.

C0ncept2, I really appreciate your answer. There isn't a yellow exclamation on my profile. But apparently the problem was solved. The problem was my download queue. I delete all download and the box doesn't reboot anymore. I will do one download at time
to check the problem.

Hi Prior, go to where your profile is saved, ie: Hard drive or USB drive where your profiles are saved. Look for a Yellow exclamation point on that profile. If it does show that icon, it means the profile is corrupt. Choose delete PROFILE ONLY, Do not choose
profile and items, just the profile alone. Then reboot the 360 and redownload a new copy again of that profile and see if that helps you.

I tried to change the HDMI cable but the cable which I used before is still working fine. The issue looks like it has stopped but if it hasn't and it is something like a port issue is there a way to get it fixed?

Sounds like it could be a number of issues, there's a
few things to try here - notably to check your power supply.

As for the HDMI issue, have you tried a different HDMI port on your TV? Have you tried a different HDMI cable as well?
