Xbox reading my controller stick going up

Tried this and and nothing happened. I can’t even get into my Xbox anymore cause I have to select the language and the remote from the app doesn’t work.

I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

- Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

- Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

- Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

- Select Reset console.

- Choose Keep Games and Apps

Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.

Wow I'm having the same problem with one of my controllers the left stick is centered yet moving up, So I thought that going out to buy another one would work. WRONG on my NEW controller now the right stick moves up when centered. Currently using LAST gen
(xbox 360)controller to play games through streaming.

It'd be nice if you told us how to fix this Xbox team.

Do keyboards even work on the Xbox One? I plugged my Microsoft Sidewinder X4 up into the Xbox One and it didn't work at all.

In general, really, fight sticks are the way to go with fighting games. I've personally never found a D-pad to be any good, on either the Xbox 360 controller or the Xbox One controller. I just stick with using the analogue sticks.

You'll get better at reading attacks when you learn the move sets of the other characters (by playing them) and know what to look for and what others tend to counter you with, and when, etc)
