    Xbox rarely showing display after settings changed


    So I received an Xbox this xmas and everything was going fine until recently.I filled my HDD so now I only have about 50gb left, got all my games installed, was good to go so I decided to mess around with my settings and I found the option for my consoles
    start up, either Instant or energy saver. I chose Instant now thinking it would make playing less of a hassle. Well now the past 2 nights I have woken up to find my xbox on for some reason (does kinect see me while im sleeping and just sign me in?) and when
    I go to turn on my tv no signal comes up. Its just not displaying the xbox at all. After about restarting the console 5 times, unplugging the brick and wires, it eventually turns on and I have video again...just wondering why this happens?

    I did purchase a refurbished XB1 with Kinect directly through Microsoft so if this is a hardware error and not something on Xbox's side please let me know

    Low Volume output on XBOX 360 (both old and brand new Slim)

    go to settings/system/console settings\display\display discovery (set to disable) after set console will restart. this worked for my new setup. added in an amp and changed from the 360s hd cables to hdmi. hope this helps

    Moved My region and now its in Russian and i cannot change it!!

    Hi all, i have changed my region on xbox live and 70% of my display became in russian. i have changed the Language in the setting but its still showing games, videos ..etc in russian. how can i change this back to English. please note that i cannot change
    my region for another 12 months

    No hdmi signal

    You can go to system settings on the Xbox 360 and chose Display.

    After that, change the hdmi setting to 480p.

    Then, check wether it will display or not.

    Hope that will fix your problem :)

    It has nothing to do with the TV or switching the HDMI, it has to do with a setting on the console. Your Xbox One console automatically detects the display resolution on your
    TV. However, on rare occasions, your console may not detect the TV's resolution correctly

    Thanks for reaching out, just to go ahead and double check to make sure everything is in order. In order to change the resolution settings within the Xbox. You'd want to head to our Settings and look for TV & Display options. Make sure that it isn't set
    to Automatic as the receiver may be telling the Xbox a smaller resolution that what the Display actually is.

    I'll post a link below showing how to change those settings to make sure everything is in order.

    Hi, if you connect the xbox to the tv that is does show a display on, then go to settings/console settings/display and disable display discovery. Then connect the xbox to the tv you are getting no display on do you then get a display at all ?

    Note also that during setup, the Xbox One X default resolution is 1080p, If the console detects you are using a 4K display, it will prompt you to ask if you wish to change to 4K. If not, you can change this manually from the settings screen.

    You can see if your TV is displaying correctly either from an information button on the remote, or by simply changing the HDMI source back and to the Xbox One X again. This will usually show a information pane at the top of the screen showing the resolution
    your TV is set to.

    On my Samsung it says UHD 3840x2160.
