Xbox Purchases In Xbox.com/Microsoft Are Redirecting Me Through Microsoft Store On PC

Hey there,

I was on the PC and I went to purchase some Forza Motorsport 7 and a Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War DLC. All free purchases. When I clicked on "Get" it brought up a message "Open Microsoft Store?" instead of purchasing it right there and then like any other
thing you would buy.

Why is this message coming up on select games and DLC? If it is in the Xbox/MS store it should be purchasable, regardless of the platform, as I noticed a redirect for a PC game also. The Store requires a Sign In, and when you are doing three individual accounts
with a fourth on the PC it is not a clever setup.

It would be great to have this fixed.

Thanks OK Fowl, but the contact option for this particular issue is only to post on the Community Support Forums. Usually I do a message chat with them to keep a record of what I've contacted them about and what their response was, but it seems that option
has been removed.

Alright, so after spending around an hour trying to contact Support yet AGAIN, I managed to cheat my way through the system and got the most helpful Support staff member!

He told me that I had to click on the three dots next to "Get" which gives you an option to "Add to cart". Add the item to the cart and either "Continue shopping" or "View cart". I tend to have a whole bunch of tabs so I added 10
to cart, saying "Continue shopping" to each one but leaving the tab open until later, and opening another tab for the shopping cart.

Once you have added everything and you are ready to "Checkout", confirm the prices of your purchases (mine were all free so it cost $0.00) and then proceed. After you "Place order" you will then get a "Thank you for your order"
giving you a summary. You can click "Review order" on the far right to bring up the Order Details to verify. Please note - I found you could not see the order history AFTERWARDS when going into Payment & Billing, and regardless of the fact that it states you
will be sent a receipt to your email, I have not received one.

Refresh your tabs to see if you have the tick and "You own this product" next to it to be sure. And/or bring up your "My Games" and see if they are all there. Perhaps you’re like me and like to be certain of your purchases.

It's been 3 weeks and I'm still waiting on a reply from Support! I have tried contacting them on a number of occasions but it seems they don't want to "support" anyone these days. I can't even post a question in the Forum regarding the Support issue!

Then the other solution would be to use Steam or somewhere else that sells it for the PC. For some reason the Microsoft store apps redirects to the Xbox app for purchase.
