Xbox Project Scorpio and 21:9 Ultrawide Support

I know that most console gamers aren't going to be playing on monitors but there still seems no reason for the resolution not to be supported in games where it already exists.

This is what I want also! I'm playing games on PC now solely due to the lack of 21:9 support on consoles! There are more of us out there than you think.

But there are far more people without 21:9 monitors/TV's so who do you think Microsoft should cater for, the minority or the majority?

i play my xbox one on my lg 29um68 at 16:9 with black bars. I really think they should make the scorpio 21:9 compatible, it wouldn't be that hard. they can keep the menu 16:9 for all i care

Here is a Steam Curator list of games that support 21:9, as you can see it is quite sizable and includes many multiplatform titles that are also on the Xbox One. So there is really no reason why it could not be supported, especially on the Scorpio.

At any rate, that perspective only seems to be a thing for PC players (specifically their monitors), and despite never owning nor wanting to own a PC, I do nevertheless read multiformat articles to keep up with "trends". Can't say that I've ever seen 21:9
trending (or maybe it's just a PC thing - in which case they are welcome to it).
