Xbox Profile, two gamertags

Hi all,

When I start up my xbox and I display my profile, I see two gamertags under each other. Is this true or a bug?

The strange thing about the story is that it is the same gamertag twice: "BoBrussen". There is no difference in the tags.

The bottom tag is considered a "classic" gamertag and the top is for the newer gamertags. Usually you would only see it split like that if you changed your tag to one with special characters or the new suffix and the classic gamertag would be kept to show up in games. I'm not sure why it split yours since that's not the case unless you changed your tag and it gave you the option to change both and you changed both to the same thing.

Probably one name is the gamertag and the other name - which is actually the same - is the name that you setup for your Microsoft account.

Please check if your Microsoft account name is also set to BoBrussen at:

If you see your Xbox profile on the website, does it show your gamertag (BoBrussen) on the top and “FamilieBrussen” right below the gamertag?

At first, thanks for the quick reply. It is not, thats: “FamilieBrussen”. You can see this name also on my Xbox Profile.
