    I've read that people have been having problems like this for almost 2 years now. I've been experiencing this I believe since last February's update ( or was it March I can't remember) either way I'm surprised that there hasn't been some sort of idea as
    to how to fix it as it's obviously a software issue. The Xbox can be nearly unplayable at times and the disconnecting controller issue is game breaking when you're in the middle of multiplayer. Some sort of viable and legitimate answer as to how this can be
    fixed would be appreciated so I don't have to turn my tail to Sony in shame.

    Playing Fifa 18 on my XBOX ONE S and every 10-20 mins, my profile signs out and says I need to sign in with a controller etc however, I’m not signing out. Really frustrated as I’m losing a lot of progress with games. I’ve tried removing my profile and re
    adding it but to no avail. Any other advice out there?

  3. I have xbox live until I sign in with my account

    I turn on my Xbox and I have no xbox connection so I try signing in and it sends me to test the connection. It signs my profile out and tests the connection. I am then connected to live! Awesome! So I try signing in with my account and it immediately disconnects
    me! Why is this frikin happening? Somebody puhhleeeassee helpp mee!

    Hey there!

    Sorry to hear about the sign-in troubles with your Xbox Live account, to check do you have your profile on any other Xbox One consoles? It sounds like it might be getting signed in from a different console which is causing troubles on your end. If you haven't
    tried already, give your password a change to see if that clears up the issue.

    Hi there,

    it clearing the cache fails and before contacting Xbox Support, deletion of the profile and redownloading it is another good options to try.

    1. Delete your profile from the console, be sure to delete only the profile, to do so check this link:

    support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete


    2. Clear the console cache, see this link for the how to:
    support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache


    3. Turn the console off.

    4. Turn the console on.

    5. Redownload your profile.(See the same link as 2.)

    Hi Withered Demise,

    I have seen this before, my friends have experienced this too. Try to do the following:

    Clear your System Cache

    To do this go to your Settings, System, Storage, then Hover over your Hard Drive OR Memory Unit and Click Y and Press the Clear System Cache Option.

    If that doesn't work try to contact support. Fill out this little form and it will pick options for you to contact support here:

    Losing Connection and Random Profile Sign Out

    True, it would say "Signed in elsewhere" and when you sign back in would say something like "Previously signed into a different console" and if you have 2FA turned on, that's likely not the case.

    The next thing I'd work to troubleshoot, and it's not an easy thing to narrow down, would be wireless interference. Easiest [sic] way to do that would be to connect it wired and run it for a while to the point where you'd almost certainly see the log out
    issue. I know that's not always possible or feasible, but there are things to mitigate and test such

    as internet over powerline devices.


    That would allow us to narrow down if it's a wireless issue, which is what my gut says it is, even though it says 90% strength.

    There are other smaller things to try in the interim, such as removing and re-adding your profile to the console, a full power cycle by pressing the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down, clearing your Alternate MAC address in Settings
    > Network > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address> Clear and then restart. Try those individually and see if that improves the situation. Again, it's kind of a pain, as the issue is intermittent, but worth trying.
