Your solution actually worked!

I was so desperate until this point but my problem is now Solved.

For me in:

Settings > General > Online safety & family.
Select Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy > View details & customize > Game content.

And then in "Others can see your game clips and screenshots", it was set to "Myself only" for some reason (I don't know how it was set like that. It's the first time I come to this menu).

I changed it "Friends".

Given the fact that you have the exact same problem while sharing a screenshot on both your Xbox Series X and the Xbox app for smartphones, that means that the problem is most likely related to your account's settings, or something else related to your account.

On your Xbox, go to Settings > General > Online safety & family.

Select Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy > View details & customize > Game content.

Make sure that all of the following options are set to Allow:

- You can share game clips and screenshots

- Others can see your game clips and screenshots

- You can see and upload community creations

- You can broadcast gameplay

- You can share content made using Kinect or another camera

It has been an issue for the entire time i had xbox game bar but im not always sent Ss or captures from friends. It only happens when a friend shares a screenshot or a capture in messages (it works on the regular xbox app) and yes i have. The capture menu on your phone is meant for videos and screenshots you captured on Xbox and on PC using the Game Bar. You can't capture Minecraft on your iOS through Xbox. You'll need to use a third party app for that.

I have a simular issue. I accidentally deleted my "Captures" folder. And now all my captures are being saved to '\AppData\Local\Temp'

I want I created a new Captures folder in my videos, however all my screenshots and video captures are still being saved in 'Temp'
