Xbox privacy & online safety settings don't work

Hi,

I'm trying to join a club on xbox, but i get an error message saying "you can't do this because the way your account is setup. Go to your privacy & online safety settings to change this".

I added my account to an adult account and changed the settings to "allowed to join/create a club".

But i'm still unable to join a club

If an adult (Parental) account is associated with your safety and privacy settings then you are unable to change those settings.

Are you trying to join a specific club? (example Forza horizon 4) there are known issues with joining clubs on Forza. You can try

changing the setting . Make sure if only on PC to change settings on
Account Page and
Xbox.com.

I'm trying to join a club via the xbox app on windows 10, i also cannot create one.

I changed my settings to "allow to join or create a club".

Where can i change the settings on the Account page?

I only see Browsing and search history, location, media, voice, health, product and service acitivity, Cortana's notebook and linkedIn.

And Xbox privacy and online safety which directs me to the page where it says i'm already allowed to join/Create a club

 

Hey Dutch, From the adult account.

Change privacy and safety settings for you or a child

1. Sign in to your Xbox. (If you’re changing the settings for a child, sign in using an adult’s account.)
2. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.
3. Select Settings > All Settings. For your account:
   1. Under Privacy & online safety, select Xbox Live privacy.
   2. Choose a default, or customize your settings by selecting View details & customize.
   For a child’s account:
   1. UnderAccount, select Family.
   2. Enter your password or passkey, and then select the account you want to update.
   3. Select Privacy & online safety, and then choose the default settings, or customize by selecting View details & customize.

If it doesnt work after youve done this, try power cycling your xbox to see if the changes take effect.

I do not own a Xbox, i use the windows app to play Forza
