Xbox preview ruined my xbox

So I downloaded the new Xbox preview update. And after using it for a while it started to corrupt all the saved for my games. Then after having enough with this terrible update I decided to try to reset my Xbox biggest mistake I've ever made. Now my Xbox
is completely useless I can not use it at all. When I launch the Xbox it tells me to press the button on my controller and after I do so it brings up the exact same screen and tells me to press it again. So moral is do not ever use the Xbox preview if you
value your Xbox

im sorry when i access the link "group not found" does arise but even when i search for the forum i cannot find it

 

miss did same I've just updated mine and my apps started to not work so I ternd off and all I get is a black screen and can't do nuthink

No sympathy here sorry we all know the risk in testing new software that hasnt been put thru its paces. It was stated in the terms of use for the preview program that this could happen, its not the preview program its people in general who dont read the
warnings before signing up.

 

No when I signed for preview I expected some glitches and issues but since it's a well built console I thought it would at least work this should not have happened, this isn't pc

 

Also I cannot go into the preview forums since I have taken myself out of it due to this awful update

 

Best thing to do is sign up for preview again. The Preview Program forum has individualized resolution for such issues. Taking yourself out of the preview doesn't bring your console back to the way it was.

 

Yea same man I can't even play my games because if the program in unoping ing the program rn

 

what ever you dont try doing an offline update like tech support told me because that only made it worse, and then they want 115 dollars to fix it

Hi there are quite a few things you can try.

Firstly if your Xbox One boots and shows only a black screen then let it sit at the black screen for around an hour and it may then boot up correctly.

Try powering the Xbox off by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds, disconnect the power supply from both the mains power outlet and the rear of the Xbox and let things sit for an hour before reconnecting everything and try again, if you get
the black screen leave it there for an hour or so.

Factory restore the Xbox using a USB flash drive, this will erase all your data on the Xbox hard drive though.

Note If you can't perform the following procedure to restore the factory default settings because you have no picture on your screen or you can't access the Settings menu, you can also perform this action by using a file loaded to a USB flash drive. For

Follow the instructions on the link above exactly and you might have some luck.

If your Xbox is using the preview update then attempting to use the OSUDT files to update the Xbox is a complete and utter waste of time as those files only contain the public release of the system software and as such will not work and can often cause more
harm than good.

I would also add to my previous post.

If you believe the preview program / update broke your console and you talked to technical support via phone, online chat and they believe it as well the preview programs terms and conditions state that if the console broke down and the cause was the preview
update then they will repair the console free of charge.

So it's best to contact the customer support and see what they can do.

to all that are having a problem with the latest preview release and EA games not working anymore, the fix is real simple. go to settings system update and press LB,RB,LT,RT at the same time to bring up dev mode. click on reset home console and restart you
xbox. now boot up an EA title back out to the dashboard press the menu button to quit the game and then make your xbox your home console again and VOILA. I take claim for this workaround.
